Retro® --USA Hood Vent Set. The original Challenger featured chrome trim at the trailing edge of the trunk and rear fenders that framed the taillights. Now you can have the same for your new Challenger with this beautiful taillight surround molding. The chrome laminated to TPO construction has a deep shine and excellent resistance to UV rays, chipping and chemicals, and it’s guaranteed to never rust, crack, flake or peel. This molding is attached to your existing fascia with injection molded inserts and 3M™ attachment tape. Comprehensive instructions and everything required for installation are included.
When GM, Ford and Chrysler created the retro styled Camaro, Mustang and Challenger, they did a masterful job capturing the performance, excitement and image of the original models from the late ‘60s and early’70s…with one exception. Retro USA has created a line of chrome bumpers, rocker panels and other moldings for late model Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers. But don’t confuse these with your father’s chrome parts! Retro USA laminates chrome film to Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) plastic, a process that ensures an excellent finish and incredible durability.
TPO plastic contains rubber molecules, which gives it high impact resistance and enables it to bend and break without cracking. It has a low coefficient of expansion, which minimizes warping when exposed to high heat, and it has high UV and chemical resistance properties. This all combines to ensure that your Retro USA accessories will retain their fit and finish for many years to come.
The laminated chrome film gives the brilliance of plated steel with added benefits and none of the detriments. It has excellent UV protection, chip resistance and superior chemical resistance, and the chrome film actually gives the part additional rigidity. But unlike the chrome of old, it will never rust, crack, flake or peel.
But the best part of all may be that all Retro USA accessories install with 3M™ double-sided tape. No need to get out any wrenches, just peel and stick. In a matter of minutes you can complete your modern muscle car’s nostalgic look. Many parts have inserts, which attach to the vehicle first and give increased rigidity and aid accessory alignment.
