Rear Axle Assembly by Replace®. If your rear axle assembly is leaking, clunking or making other strange noises, don’t bother with the hassle and expense of rebuilding when you can get the job done quicker and for less money with a Replace Replacement Rear Axle Assembly. It’s remanufactured with the highest quality parts!

Features

  • Completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, rust, and old paint
  • All parts to be reused carefully inspected
  • All common wear parts like bearings and seals replaced
  • Hand assembled and setup by professional technicians
  • Run-in on an axle dyno to check for noises and leaks

Removing and installing a rear axle assembly sounds like a big job but it’s nothing compared to the time and expense of rebuilding one. Things like bearing preload and ring gear and pinion tooth pattern have to be set up by knowledgeable technicians with specialized equipment. Get it wrong and you could end up with premature bearing failure and gear whine. Don’t take a chance, when you need to repair your rear axle, get a Replace Replacement Rear Axle Assembly. Unlike many companies that outsource production, Replace has complete control of the engineering, design, and assembly of everything they sell. Replace rear axle assemblies are remanufactured in their own ISO/TS 16949 certified facilities, using the latest machining processes and equipment, with the highest quality parts. They’re carefully tested, and backed by a 3-year/unlimited miles warranty.

Replace starts out by completely disassembling the rear axle assembly and thoroughly cleaning and inspecting all parts that are to be reused. Housings go through an industrial grade shot blast cabinet that removes all dirt, surface rust and paint. All “wear” parts like the crush sleeve, pinion nut, axle seals, axle bearings, outer pinion bearing, inner pinion bearing, and carrier bearings are 100% replaced with new. Experienced technicians hand assemble the cleaned and new parts and check bearing preload, ring gear and pinion tooth pattern, and backlash. Finally, all units are run-in on an axle dyno to detect noise or leaks.

Replace® is dedicated to providing original equipment (OE) quality body parts and lights without the high OE price. Rather than deal with so-called "universal" parts that may or may not fit your vehicle, Replace sells only parts that have OE quality fit, function and appearance. They believe such parts should be affordable so you can repair your vehicle to its former state, restoring your pride of ownership and preserving its resale value. With Replace parts you can just say no to high dealer prices.

I would just like to say I’m so proud and so happy with what I have accomplished with the help of this company, their personnel have such a great knowledge about the needs and the products they sell, they treat everyone as far as I can say for myself in a way that made me feel unafraid to make a purchase and I will recommend them to any and everyone I know keep up the good work back behind the wheel a happy driver.

Took a bit longer to get here but was in good order once it was here. Still in the breaking period with only 75 miles left so far so good.

Rear differential assembly looks just like the picture. It took about six hours to remove and install. Differential assembly bolted in smoothly. I chose limited slip and I’m impressed with the traction. Now I know why posi track is such a big deal. The black paint covers rust and corrosion on some areas. The paint also made the lug nuts more difficult to put on. Overall I’m very happy.

The axle assembly came in great condition. The paint on it was decent and it seemed as if care was taken in the rebuild. The good: Axle really was a plug and play assembly. Quality and care is obvious. Comes with required oil in the assembly. The bad: Oil had come out during shipping because the plugs had come out. The only real discrepancy I have with this assembly is that I had given my VIN so it should have been known that I had the 7200 LBS parking brake backing plates, but the unit came with the 6200 LBS backing plate requiring me to buy new parts and compromise the intended use of the parking brake system in my Yukon. I realize that I could have disassembled the two axles and swapped backing plates but that defeats the purpose of buying an assembled unit. Overall I am ok with the assembly and would buy again. I would just be prepared to swap backing plates next time.

The rear end came packed in a heavy duty plastic container that was pretty much water tight and designed to protect the rear end from damage. The reuse of this container to return the core made doing so easy, I changed out the rear axle and put the core in the plastic container, put the thing in the bed of the truck. On Monday I went to work as usual, called the shipping company for the core pick up and about 6 hours later they showed up, I backed my truck up to the semi and the driver help me load it. Been driving the truck everyday since and it feels and sounds like it is new. So far it has been an awesome experience.
