With a triangulated 4-link kit, you'll have zero side-to-side movement, less hardware to purchase and mount as well as the flexibility to place the bar so that it will eliminate obstacles. However, angled upper bar design may result in interference with the exhaust or late-model vehicle fuel tank. Plus, additional attachment points are required for installation. Parallel 4-link bar mounts are built together, which greatly simplifies the installation. This type of 4-link suspension can be mounted underneath the frame-rail, inboard or outboard as well as provides extra room for the exhaust. Among the cons are that it requires the installation of a Panhard bar, which means extra costs and more parts needed to mount. This bar will allow a small amount of axle movement from side to side and may have interference with the exhaust.
