Racetech is a company which engages in the design and manufacturing of a wide array of automotive seating solutions for motorsport applications. They employ such advanced materials as carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, and various composites, which result in high strength and low weight. The company’s seating is used in many different kinds of races, including rally, touring, drag, drift, speedway, and so on. They are installed in vehicles that compete in SCCA, NASA racing, IMSA, BITD/SCORE, Rally America, and other events globally.
Racetech was originally founded in New Zealand in 1992, thus offering more than 2 decades of experience to its end customer. The company’s U.S. headquarters are located in Gardnervillle, Nevada. Racetech is proud of offering some of the safest products in its market niche, while paying great attention to crucial components like harnesses. There can be risks of damage in many types of modern-day motorsport, however, Racetech seats are built with solutions that lower any possible injuries. They have been tested in the field, with the use of crash recorders. A total of 81G in lateral impact was registered, with the driver having absolutely no injuries and the seat not suffering any damages.
Racetech racing seats come in a broad array of designs. The RT1000 series is engineered for some of the most demanding of motorsports enthusiasts. The units weigh mere 17.6 lbs and are fully homologated by the FIA authorities. They are made from out of composite fiberglass shells, coated in black gel resin. These seats are suitable for both competition and road use. Racetech RT4119HRW seats are built upon the famed 129 series. They have been used by pro racers in different local and international events for years. These seats have super-lightweight construction, with the shell weighing only 9.9 lbs.
