Product Details
50 lb. Ferrous Soak Cleaner by Prochem®. Premium heavy-duty hot tank soak cleaner for ferrous metals. Ferrous Soak is a high powered, strongly alkaline, chelated cleaner designed for use in hot immersion tank cleaning of ferrous metals, engine blocks, heads, radiators, cylinder heads, crankshafts, gears, etc. Ferrous Soak penetrates and brakes up oil impregnated scale formation, and emulsifies and saponfies oil and grease. Chelating and sequestering properties control redeposition of soil residues and water hardness and greatly retards scale formation to permit efficient heat exchange. Carbon, paint, and light and moderate rust coatings are effectively stripped at higher concentration, while light and heavy oil, grease and dirt are effectively cleaned in lower concentration. High quality results are consistently performed when used as directed.
Instructions/Usage
Ferrous Soak’s recommended use concentration range from 4 – 8 ounces per gallon at 160°F to 200°F. Immersion time will vary depending upon type and degree of soil to be removed.
Safety Factors
Product contains Sodium Hydroxide. Follow precaution when handling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact should occur, flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention. See MSDS for additional safety information.
