Product Details

Track Day Spec Advanced Brake Pads by PowerStop®. Drivers who participate in “Track-Days” or “High Performance Driving Events (HPDE)” rely on their brakes and know the value of having the right brake pads. The PowerStop R&D team have spent countless hours formulating friction compounds that are matched to each individual vehicle platform, this means you spend more time on the track and less time trying to find the ideal brake pad setup for your vehicle. PowerStop’s platform-specific friction compounds offer a very high coefficient of friction and resist fading even at the highest temperatures thanks to its Carbon-Fiber/Metallic formulation.

The braking components in Track Day kits are tested on the track, this is not a re-purposed street compound. PowerStop test vehicles are equipped with a sophisticated data logging system & spends hundreds of test hours on a real track. Advanced friction compound was tuned using an AIM EVO4 data-logger monitoring brake pressures, rotor temperatures, and velocity changes via wheel speed, GPS, and 3-axis accelerometers. The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 served as the ideal vehicle to develop our platform-specific braking system suited for both track days as well as the drive home.
