Available as a coupe or convertible, the Porsche 944 went through various upgrades in the aerodynamics and safety equipment, but the most important changes were implemented in the power train: in 1985 and 1988, two different turbo engines were introduced, enhancing the racing qualities of the 944. The production ended in 1992, when the 944 model was replaced with the Porsche 968.
