The Porsche 924 is a luxury sports coupe produced between 1976 and 1988. The model was a joint project of Porsche and Volkswagen and was planned as a successor to the Porsche 914. The 924 was the first Porsche model having a water-cooled and front-mounted engine and an all-wheel drive system. The engine was mostly developed by Volkswagen and also installed in other vehicles, for instance, in the Audi 100.
