The Porsche 914, a targa-top two-seat roadster, was manufactured between 1969 and 1976 as a joint product of Porsche and Volkswagen. The model became a successor to the Porsche 912 and Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. The automobile was equipped with a flat-four or flat-six engine, 5-speed manual gearbox, and independent suspension; its maximum speed was about 130 mph. On the base of the Porsche 914, the company designed some limited editions offered on the North American market, to note Porsche’s victories in Can Am racing events. Most of these models were named the Bumblebee and the Creamsicle.
