Pioneer Automotive Parts

For more than seventy years, Pioneer Automotive Industries has been known throughout the automotive aftermarket industry as a reliable manufacturer of diverse automotive products. Pioneer’s growth is determined by the philosophy that success must be grounded on customer satisfaction. Its dedicated team of seasoned engineers devotes all attention to meet the needs of clients by strictly controlling the whole manufacturing process, from design to a finished product. This helps Pioneer maintain correspondence of its products to strict industry standards.

Herman A. Shields, the owner of the representative firm of a prominent automotive parts manufacturer in Meridian, Mississippi, formed Pioneer, Inc. in 1946 with the aim to serve the needs of his customers, clutch remanufacturers. For over 30 years under the leadership of the Shields family, Pioneer growth was conditioned by the two cornerstones - excellent customer service and reputation of the “source for hard-to-find parts.” In time, Pioneer managed to transform in a leading provider of top-quality products with the most competitive pricing on the automotive aftermarket.

In 1979, Pioneer was bought by the Barnes Group (Bristol, Connecticut) and became known as Pioneer/Barnes. Under the guidance of the Barnes Group’s ownership, Pioneer built 86,000 square foot corporate headquarters. On top of that, the inventory of the company was enlarged drastically under the umbrella of the Barnes: flywheels, operating cables, ring gears as well as clutch, engine parts and water pumps were added. What is more, Pioneer made significant commitments to its total quality assurance programs. In June of 2003, the company was obtained by UCI, Inc. (a private investment company based in Evansville, IN). Headed by the UCI family, Pioneer shifted its focus to major investment in product tooling and further expansion of its product line.

In 2010, Pioneer was purchased by Lodi Group (a private investment company based in Monterrey, MX) serving OEM and aftermarket worldwide. Today, nowhere else in the industry can you find a more comprehensive coverage of products to service and repair driveline components and systems from a single and trusted source than Pioneer. For instance, its line of automatic transmission service and repair products incorporates over 1500 part numbers and covers the automatic transmission market from Allison to ZF. The breakthrough electronically-controlled transmissions of the company are manufactured to higher tolerances than ever. Pioneer also provides a full line of powertrain products for domestic and import vehicle applications, including grounding straps, tailgate support cables fasteners, etc.

Perfect Replacement
I'm very pleased with the quality of this filter. I rebuilt my Honda 4 speed automatic transmission and it's very important to install new filters. This filter was an exact match and mounted perfectly. The transmission functions exactly as it is supposed to now. My thanks to the team!
