PCV Valve Hoses

A positive crankcase ventilation valve, or a PCV valve, is part of a PCV system that is responsible for drawing fumes from the crankcase for their further burning in the engine. The very first PCV valves were installed on GM cars in the early 1960s and were actually the first emission control devices used on vehicles. Since that time, there has been developed a variety of types of PCV systems, but their basic function remains the same till nowadays. PCV valve hoses are parts that deliver excess gases from the crankcase to the PCV valve. After that, gases are transferred to the engine. If a hose breaks, the gases will not get to the engine, leading to increased emissions and reduced fuel efficiency.

You should watch out for the following symptoms, as they may indicate that your PCV valve hoses are bad or failing. Illuminating check engine light may indicate, among other things, faulty PCV valve hoses. A clogged or leaking hose may cause poor fuel economy, misfires, and noises from the engine. You should not leave any of these signs unattended for long periods, because if the issue gets worse, you will have to deal with a more expensive repair. Restore your auto with a quality replacement PCV valve hose from our store. We deliver premium parts at a reasonable price.
