Product Details

UltraGroove Metal Hard Manual Retractable Tonneau Cover by Pace Edwards®. UltraGroove Metal™ is a retractable tonneau that makes it easy to attach nearly any Thule® or Yakima® rack to carry bikes, kayaks, cargo baskets and more. It offers truck owners the metal look with heavy-gauge aluminum panels and a tough, powder-coated, matte-black surface. With or without racks, UltraGroove Metal is a great-looking retractable tonneau that’s incredibly easy to use. It opens quickly with just a turn of the lock knob and closes just as easily with a pull on the built-in strap.

Installation

Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal tonneau cover gives a sturdy metal look because it is made out of heavy gauge, extruded aluminum panels and has a powder coated matte black finish. This tonneau cover allows for easy opening with just a turn of the lock knob that is located on the underside of the cover, giving that streamlined finish on top. A heavy-duty Continuous Tension Spring helps retract the cover into the canister for an effortless action. It will latch every 12 inches along the rail to help accommodate whatever you decide to haul, and the convenient pull strap means you can operate the cover from the rear of the truck.

Most vehicles have a no drill, turn-knob clamp system so you can hand tighten the clamps to install the mounting rails. This removes the need for a wrench, leaving you with a more desirable way to install the rails. Water management is taken care of by the mounting rails and two sets of drain tubes, a set for the front and a set for the rear of the bed. Extended end caps help seal off the rear corners of the bed and a rear tailgate seal helps form a bond to the tailgate when the cover is closed. Some vehicles may require drilling for the drain tubes.

I've had roll up covers and tri-folds before but this one is a whole different level. This is a true no-effort cover. Push a button, it opens or closes. No rolling, no folding, it locks up tight so no worries about stuff in the bed. Seals well enough and works great with my headache rack.

I've tried soft covers, trifold, all of them. This is the first one that actually feels solid AND lets me use my whole bed without taking it off. Retracts easy. It doesn't rattle and actually looks slick. Keeps my bed dry, too. Wouldn't bother with anything else.

My buddy has one of these and I finally pulled the trigger on it. No regrets at all. It locks down tight, rolls back easy when I need to load up and I still got full access to my bed. It doesn't mess up the look of my truck. Took me about an hour and a half to install, mostly cause I was making sure everything lined up right.

Fits my 98 frontier pretty good, no leaks so far and no rattling. Took me about an hour to install, instructions were ok. It's a clean look and keeps my tools safe so can't complain.

Terrible Bed Cover
Pace Edwards® - Switchblade™ Hard Retractable Manual Tonneau Cover
This is a terrible bed cover. I've had nothing but problems with it. 1. The bed cover is not long enough to cover the length of my bed. 2. The bed cover is not wide enough to stay in the tracks when driving or opening/closing the cover. 3. The aluminum paneling under the black outside cover is glued on, and has already fallen off. 4. The mounting holes for the top cover do not line up where they're supposed to go. 5. The retractable system does not work right. 6. The aluminum paneling can bend real easily which makes it get caught opening and closing. I don't recommend the cover at all.

Love My New Cover
Pace Edwards® SWFA19A45 - Switchblade™ Hard Retractable Manual Tonneau Cover
Awesome product. Fits snug. It was pretty easy to install even for a non-tech like me. Had a question on installation and help was immediate, friendly, and thorough.

Great quality! This retractable cover is well made, easy to install. It took me no more than 30 minutes, once I had the parts identified. FYI, it does not have the ability to be partially closed/opened. All the way open or closed is what you get. I was initially concerned that the unit would take too much bed space, but it didn't and looks amazing!

Looks good and is low profile, which is what I was looking for. Definitely a two person job, had my lovely wife’s help!!

Great Cover, Works as Advertised!
Pace Edwards® SWF29A20 - Switchblade™ Hard Retractable Manual Tonneau Cover
This tonneau cover looks and works great! It took 2 of us to install it, but fit my 1999 style side extended cab very well. It’s not 100% water tight. It leaks a bit at the tailgate and up next to the cab, but not much. However, it opens and closes easily, and really improves the usability of the bed.

Good Product, Terrible Instructions.
Pace Edwards® SWFA19A45 - Switchblade™ Hard Retractable Manual Tonneau Cover
Planned a quick install since it read as such, and didn't need any drilling. I took a PHD and me close to 2.5 hours to install, mostly because the documentation is terrible. The actual installation is pretty simple once you've done it once - but sorting out what they intend for you to do and which parts to use based off of the horrible instructions they include is an exercise in annoyance. Functionality and looks now that it is on the truck - great. No complaints, very satisfied. Will see how well it holds up over time!
