Product Details

TPMS Sensor by Omix-ADA®. A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has been OE (original equipment) on Jeeps since 2007. Sensors, located in each wheel, transmit tire pressure information to the vehicle's ECU (electronic control unit) so the driver can be alerted to a low tire pressure condition. These sensors can become non-functional due to corrosion, battery failure, and physical damage. Omix-Ada has the correct replacement sensors for your Jeep, to maintain TPMS operation for your driving safety.

The federal government has mandated that all passenger cars and light trucks manufactured since 2008 be equipped with a TPMS. In this system, a small battery operated sensor, usually attached to each tire's valve stem, measures tire pressure and transmits the information to the vehicle's ECU. The ECU can then display the data on the dash panel. The display can alert the driver to a low tire pressure condition, as well as indicate faults in the system.

The system depends on the integrity of the TPMS sensors, but these are subject to deterioration from corrosion, which is prevalent where roads are salted in winter, battery failure, as the life expectancy of the battery is roughly 5 years, and physical damage, which can occur if the sensor is mishandled during tire replacement. When you need replacement sensors, Omix-ADA has sensors made to OE specifications, so they'll install the same and function the same as your original sensors.

Omix-ADA specializes in Jeep only, and they take the time to make sure every replacement part will appear, fit and function exactly the same as original equipment. They're so confident that you'll be satisfied with their TPMS sensors that they're covered by a 5-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
