The Oldsmobile Bravada was a mid-size sport utility vehicle introduced in 1991 as a part of the General Motors’ medium-size SUV line, joining the Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Jimmy. The Bravada was an upscale model, coming with the "Smart Trak" all-wheel drive system as a standard, as well as with other distinctive features. Production ceased in 1994 and after a one year gap, the second generation debuted; the new Oldsmobile Bravada introduced a more curvaceous body shape and developed its own personality, becoming more and more distinguished from the Blazer and the Jimmy. The third and last generation, presented in 2001, was a further step in creating an even stronger identity, but production ended in 2004, when the Oldsmobile brand was shut down.
