Odometer Gears will only cover the defective Odometer Gears manufactured part(s) and no labor associated with the repair. The company does not cover any parts that may be damaged during or after the installation of their products; buyer or installer assumes all liability.

BMW, Land Rover, and Mercedes-Benz Transfer Case Gear Warranty
The most common reason the gear fails is when only one or two tires are replaced at a time. The slight difference in diameter of the tires (even though could be a minor difference) will cause the tires to rotate at slightly different rates. The electronics and computers engage the transfer case thinking the different wheels require more or less power. This causes an overuse of the transfer case resulting in damaging the actuator gear. Odometer Gears will only cover a parts warranty if the client can produce a receipt showing that all four tires were replaced at the same time with a matching brand and series; must include date and mileage when tires were installed as well as current mileage. Warranty only covers a broken gear and not a stripped gear. A stripped gear shows that something is binding in the transfer case and not a defect of the gear.

Saved a Load Of Cash.

I ordered this product because my old gear was worn and clicking when I shut my X3 off. It wasn't the easiest part to replace but it sure got the job done. Built more durable than factory plastic crap. Worth the time and money.
