The Nissan Quest made is first public appearance at the 1992 North American International Auto Show. Being the result of cooperation between the Japanese manufacturer and Ford, it was launched alongside with its twin, the Mercury Villager, that, however, failed to achieve the success the Quest was enjoying during the main part of its production run. In 2003, a year after the Villager’s discontinuation, Nissan launched the third generation of the Quest. Designed by Nissan independently, the minivan was largely sharing the underpinnings with Nissan’s mid-size models such as the Maxima or Murano. In 2010, the final, the fourth generation of the line became available.
