Use in any other application is improper and may lead to malfunction or serious personal injuries. With respect to any application other than those set forth herein, MTC makes no express or implied warranties of any kind, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

When used in accordance with their proper application, MTC warrants its products against any defects in manufacturing or workmanship for a period of one year from purchase, with unlimited miles. This limited warranty does not apply to: (1) any product altered or subjected to abuse, neglect, or accident, or (2) any product that is improperly installed.

MTC's sole obligation under this warranty is replacement of the defective product; labor or other costs for removal, installation, damage, delays, loss of part, misuse, or for incidental, punitive, or consequential damages are not included. These limitations on liability shall be applicable to any claims presented to MTC, regardless of the legal theory forming the basis of such claim, and whether such theory involves negligence, contractual liability, or otherwise. Volvo Washer Cap

The item appeared just like the original. However, I couldn't get the little 'barbed' end into the hole in the vehicle frame. I ended up cutting it off. Also, the cap wouldn't snap into place. The inside of the cap seemed a bit smaller than the original. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, I pushed the top of the plastic filler tube inwards, all around its rim until the cap finally snapped into place. Hopefully, I won't have the same problem when I remove the cap to fill the reservoir. The reason I ordered this part was the original one broke apart. The plastic probably dried out from engine heat. Time will tell if the new cap will do the same.
