Large Traction Bar Rubber Snubbers by Mr. Gasket®. Finish: Black. Material: Rubber. Tune up your launch with a fresh set of rubber bumpers for your traction bars. These hard-working parts need to be replaced periodically, and have a huge influence on the traction you develop right as the car starts to move off the line.
Traction bars help your rear axle plant hard as the car starts to move, and that’s critical for good E.T.s. Too much traction bar is not good, either – you can hook up too well and break parts. Tuning the bars is an art and a science, and one tuning trick is to trim some rubber off the bumper where the bars slap into the leaf springs. A couple of sets, which are easy to swap out, can be trimmed a little differently to compensate for track conditions.
