MOOG® K6100 - Front Steering Idler Arm

The idler arm attaches to the frame on the side of the vehicle opposite the steering gear, and supports the center link, keeping it level. A worn idler arm will typically exhibit up and down play and cause the toe setting to vary with concurrent shimmy and looseness in the steering. MOOG idler arms feature a double-tapered bearing design and internal take-up spring to absorb shock and vibration for smoother, safer movement and enhanced durability. Thanks to this approach, grease can flow through the bearing to the stud providing a smooth, durable surface that extends service life.
