Product Details

Sensa-Trac™ Load Adjusting Shock Absorbers by Monroe®. These shocks feature position sensitive damping (PSD) and application engineered valving for improved ride and handling, and heavy-gauge calibrated springs that will help maintain ride height even with up to 1200 lbs. of additional load. They're ideal for light trucks or tow trailers.

If you want to improve your vehicle’s ride and handling, but also occasionally carry heavy loads and want to maintain the factory ride height, Monroe Sensa-Trac load adjusting shocks are for you. Each shock features Monroe’s exclusive PSD (Position Sensitive Damping) and Safe-Tech system, along with heavy-gauge calibrated coil springs. This combines precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube with application engineered valving and Fluon banded piston to improve ride and handling with the capability to maintain ride height even when up to 1200 lbs. of additional weight is loaded.

The Sensa-Trac shock features application engineered specific valving that automatically adjusts to road conditions for consistent ride and handling, all weather fluid with friction modifiers to ensure smooth rod action, a Fluon banded piston for consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube for better control and increased durability, and a nitrogen gas charge for improved ride and handling. The coil spring is computer designed for maximum performance without an increase in harshness. Sensa-Trac load adjusting shocks come with mounting hardware, as required.

Awesome
They're super heavy duty. I have had them for about a year and they're rock hard which is of course not great for the ride quality but I bought them because I tow a lot and load up my bed. I tow boats a lot with a loaded bed and there is BARELY any squat! No squeaks, no rattles, no shakes. Don't buy them if you want a smooth ride LOL

Excellent Improvement.
First of all these are a bear to put on. However, once installed they work wonders. I routinely haul a trailer & over the past few years the back end of my van started hitting the shock stops with the trailer loaded. After replacing the existing shocks with these that no longer happens.

Love this shocks!!!
I have as 2005Chevrolet Trailblazer, 6 cyl 4X4, and ordered these as I bought a used camping trailer. (20', dual axle). The shocks work as advertised and did raise my rear up 2 inches but I didn't have to adjust my headlights. The ride is comfortable whether I'm towing my camping trailer or driving without it. I applaud Monroe for having self-adjusting shocks that don't require a person to get under the vehicle and turn a dial. It's nice to see you saw just how silly that was, but I am so happy that you seem to have really gotten it right! Well done, Monroe.

Better Than Stock...2004 Honda Odyssey
Package arrived on time and in good condition. I know some people have said there was surface rust on them, but mine were in new shape and no rust anywhere. I have also seen some people complain that their shocks squeak. I have had mine on for about 700 miles now, have had it loaded down with 500 and up to 1000 lbs several times and there was no squeaking ever. The van corners better, no roll, doesn't feel as top-heavy in corners. Handles all the bumps and bangs on the road great, it's a comfortable ride. And as I said I've had up to 1000lbs in it and it handles the weight great. I didn't feel like I was steering a boat down the road. It's about the best bet for Honda Odyssey shock upgrades. Drives smooth in normal conditions, handle heavy loads like a champ, good quality and not expensive at all. Just wouldn't make any sense to buy OEM shocks when these are less expensive and perform better. I give four stars only because nothing is perfect, so I rate them 4.8 out of 5.

Did the Trick
Not much to say, other than they made my 2000 Astro a new rig.

Shocks
I had the shocks installed, but as yet haven't put a heavy load on to see how they handle the weight. With the air-bags I don't see a problem. A wait and see. I didn't like the rear sagging so low.

Not a Review but a Question
I have a pair on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 and was wondering if an individual could swap out the spring for a heavier set. Cause the one it comes with is not enough or I have too much weight in my bed which is a 100-gallon diesel fuel tank, toolbox which are both full. For the price point and how well it rides it is amazing, for what I have just need more support for what I have.
