The Mercedes CL Class is a high-performance luxury automobile produced from 1992 to 2013. The first generation CL Class, known as the C140, was a two-door coupe outfitted with a 4.2L V8, a 5.0L V8 or a 6.0L V12 power unit. For the following generations, the automobile was still available to the buyers in coupe body style, but was offered with a larger array of V8 and V12 power units. 2006 ushered in the arrival of the most recent third generation CL Class. Known as the C216, this model rides on a large 116.3 inch wheelbase and measures 199.4 inches in length and 73.7 inches in width. The final generation CL Class has four configurations, each coming with a different power unit, including a 5.5L V8, a 6.2L V8, a 5.5L V12, etc.
