Warranty

To the original purchaser McGard LLC warrants its parts, other than chrome plated lug nuts/bolts, against defects of workmanship and materials for a period of one year. To the original purchaser McGard LLC warrants its chrome plated lug nuts/bolts against defects of workmanship and materials for life. Chrome plating on lug nuts/bolts is warranted for life not to chip, peel or rust under normal use and care.

This is the only warranty on McGard products and no other express warranty will be binding on the manufacturer.

Corrosion on parts and/or discoloration of anodized color caps due to neglect, adverse weather or chemicals is not covered by this warranty. Failure to install the nylon plugs for street use into open-end lug nuts may cause corrosion on threads, which is not covered under warranty. This warranty does not cover any item that has been damaged, mutilated, altered, misused, abused or forcibly removed. McGard locks are not guaranteed to be theft proof nor does each set have a unique code. McGard reserves the right to make changes in specifications and design without any prior notice, or incurring responsibility.

McGard's liability shall be limited exclusively to repairing or replacing parts under the conditions as aforesaid, and in no event will McGard be liable for consequential damages.

Use of the wrong size or type of fasteners will damage the receiving threads and may cause failure or loss of the wheel which may result in serious injury. McGard is not responsible for clearance problems with hubcaps or wheel covers.

Too Small

I had to put raw metal strap on my 2011 Ram 3500 tail gate. It's too small. All those inner plastic pieces went in trash.

Well Worth The Investment

Once you get the tailgate off the only difficult step is figuring out which pieces you net for your pickup. I have a Ford F-250 and the lock comes with a molded sleeve that's for GM trucks and not needed on my truck. Makes the instructions a bit confusing. Can be easily done by 1 person. Well worth the investment. The TV news said the crooks are getting $300 each for these and the chop shops are charging your insurance over $3000 for these to replace them.

Installation

Web info stated lock fits 2012 Toyota Tundra but not Tacoma. I have a 2012 Tacoma, ordered it anyway. with a little ingenuity it fits well on the Tacoma and works well.
