Maxima Racing Oils
Maxima Racing Oils is a brand that has been setting standards in the racing industry for over three decades. Since the company's inception in 1979, the experts at Maxima have been creating products for world-class racers who are used to pushing the boundaries of performance. It is a well-established brand in the elite racing community and a leading provider of technologically advanced coolants, oils, lubricants and cleaning products for motorcycle, powersports, and automotive applications. Based in Southern California, the company operates in over 50 countries worldwide.
Maxima was founded by Dick Lechien, the father of one of the greatest AMA motocrossers, Ron Lechien. He decided to formulate his own castor-based oil after he failed to find the proper replacement for the pre-mixed two-stroke oil that he had previously used and that eventually went out of production. This formulation is still present in the company's product line. Maxima Racing Oils was born as a product-driven racing-focused business and they haven't changed their direction up until now. Maxima racing fork oils, chain lubes, and almost all other products are formulated, mixed, and packaged at their facilities in Santee, California.
As the industry-leading company and OEM supplier, Maxima has extensive manufacturing capabilities and a wide range of components in-house to blend and formulate, so unlike many other companies that just label their products, Maxima controls every stage of development and production. The brand's primary products are Maxima Racing Oils Chain Wax, Chain Pro, Suspension Clean, Waterproof Grease, and of course, the Maxima Racing Oils SC1 clear coat, a silicone-based cleaner formulated to restore and protect painted and plastic surfaces.
