Luverne® 390210 - Black Sensor Relocation Kit for Prowler Max™ Grille Guard

I bought this to transfer my Luverne Prowler max from a 2010 GMC to a 2014 Silverado. The hard part was taking out the OEM parts on the 2014 pickup. I ended up cutting a bolt just to get it out because we could figure out a better way. It was just to long, this is remedied by the new hardware with these brackets that use 2 separate bolts rather than 1 big one. I haven't had any issues, I'm not a huge fan of the clevises attachment points but beggars cant be choosers. All in all my truck looks good and it's better protected. I hit a deer with my prowler on the 2010 and saved the truck. Heres hoping I have the same luck with it on the 2014.

The pieces included with this kit aren't marked L/R and the instructions are not specific enough. This resulted in us having to remove and reinstall a couple of pieces. Installation wasn't difficult once we figured out where each piece went. Make sure the angles on the T brackets face the back of the truck.

Absolutely love this brush guard. I have it on my 2016 Silverado 1500, it makes it look aggressive and just really ties the whole look of the truck together in my opinion. Very well made and sturdy. I’ve had it on my truck for 7 months and the only wear I’ve gotten after hitting a deer included, is just a couple spots the powder coat finish has chipped. Hit the deer at about 55 mph and it didn’t phase it. Highly recommend and will buy again for future trucks

Put it on my 2016 Silverado 1500. I have had it on since April 2025. It looks amazing and has held up well! The powder coat has chipped in a few spots but besides that it is phenomenal. I have hit a deer with it and NO damage to it or my truck! I’m very impressed and would buy again.

I looked a long time for a grill guard that emphasized the emblem while also going around the whole bumper instead of replacing the bumper like many. This was extremely easy to install (took us 3 people) but instructions are straight forward. It is very sturdy and I love the look it gives my truck (has already protected it against 1 deer and didn’t hurt the guard at all) writing this review 4 months after installation. Only complaint I would have is I already have a few rock chips despite the thick power coat.

Love the way guard looks. Installing took few hours. Removing the stock tow hooks and covers was the hardest part. The one problem I had the nuts and bolts did not ship with the guard and brackets. I called and they arrived within a week. I installed this at home. A set of ramps is a must. Tried it with out them first. It was much easier with them.

Very good bumper strong with low weight. Looks good on a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.

The guard is well built, but I am concerned with some of the welds already showing rust. I paid extra for the stainless steel, so time till tell if they develop rust spots. The installation was relatively easy. I only needed a second person to assist with the final mounting of the guard. The sensor installation instructions could be a bit more descriptive, but I got through them.

I purchased this grill guard because it is well made, heavy duty and one of the few that has guards for the headlights. I live in South Dakota and pheasant country. The dumb birds take out headlights like bats eat mosquitos. I looks great on my black 2016 Ram 1500 crew cab. In addition to the front step it also incorporates 2 heavy duty tow loops. Great product, well made, at a fair price.

I hit a deer on my motorcycle in August and suffered a broken leg and some road rash, so call me paranoid about hitting deer in the pickup. I looked at a lot of different grill guards online and decided on the Luverne Prowler Max because of its sturdy construction and ease of installation. I'm fairly confident if I hit a deer with this, then there will be minimal damage to the front of my truck. Installation was easy. I even did it while on crutches!! Just bolt in the two brackets where the tow hooks normally go, then the guard bolts to the brackets with four bolts. I used an engine hoist to lift the guard into place, then bolted it in place. Voila!!I thought about additionally welding the guard to the brackets for good measure, however after an engineer friend of mine looked at it, he thought that was probably over kill. The guard looks good on my F-150 and I've gotten a number of comments about how good and sturdy it looks. Whenever I decide to trade off this truck and upgrade to the next model, removal and reinstallation on a new truck should be a breeze.
