Product Details

Elite Series EX-ExtraWide Style Fender Flares by Lund®. If you've upgraded your truck to a larger tire and rim combo, you may very well have made the tires stick out past the stock wheel wells. That's messy, as well as illegal in some places. Add Lund's EX ExtraWide fender flares to your truck and keep the mud off your bodywork and the tickets out of your wallet.

Whether your truck came with add-on fender flares or not, it's easy to clip on a set of Lund EX ExtraWider flares. Even if you haven't added giant tires that stick out from the stock wheel arches, you still might like the burly look of the wider flares. Made from tough ABS plastic, these flares will take a lot of punishment without cracking or breaking. The standard finish looks rather like the standard finish on original-equipment flares, and for good reason: the OEM flares are made of the same ABS plastic. If black doesn't look right on your truck, you can just prep and paint them as if they were any other body panel on your truck. The textured finish will absorb a lot of road rash and damage without showing it.

With a rubber gasket to isolate the flare from your fender, there's no paint damage or rattling, and the mounting hardware uses holes already present in your fender well to attach the flares, using the simplest of tools. You can add these flares to your truck to upgrade from your standard OEM flares, replace a damaged or missing flare, or add flares to a truck that never had them before.

Bad Fit, Missing Holes
Poor design and fit. They are molded properly, but on the rear fenders it takes incredible force to position and the clips don't hold in place plus the rubber seal won't stay on. The front trim pieces are not tight enough and would not stand wind forces plus two of the 6 screw holes are not there. I expect a lot more from Lund. Returned as unusable and do not fit properly.

Good
Installed these on a 2017 Tacoma, 4 door, non 4 wheel drive. Some minor modifications were required to make it fit such as elongating the factory rectangular holes on one spot of each flare. The biggest problem was figuring out which way the rubber stripping faced, put the double lines out (printed on the rubber), the instructions will fool you.

Hours to Install and Tedious
To be honest, I love the product. To install took hours and cut fingers and sore hands for days after. The rubber seal was separate and very difficult to adhere to the plastic fender. Also, the attachment clips/pins are barely long enough and a-lot can break and they do not provide ample spare screws to attach fender to wheel well. Lastly, the amber plastic lights did not fit and I had to file down plastic with my tools to enable a fit. Even now I have to be careful washing the truck bc the amber lights stick out of mold housing and can be caught and pulled out with minimal force. I recommend having the rubber seal built into the plastic fender as well as the lights.

Lund RX607S - Elite Series
The rubber trim around the fender flares kept coming off. It is my opinion, these should be either factory installed or make the groove a bit deeper. Even after installation was completed I had to remove the fender flare on the driver side. The rubber kept coming off just beneath the gas tank cap (door) where it curves around the cap (door). I also had to remove my splash guard in order to install the fender flares. Other than that it was relatively easy to install and I love the way it looks.

Not for Chevy Silverado 2018 Cover Gas Cap
Doesn’t fit properly. Too wide and covers gas cap.

They Won't Go On Without Buying Hardware
The flares are good quality and CARiD is a good company. The problem is installation. After waiting months for delivery due to Lund postponing release over and over, they arrived with incorrect instructions hardware. I called Lund and after hours of calks, emails, emailed pictures; they either don't care, or are incompetent. Maybe they're both. Anyway, buy a different brand (suggested), or be prepared to buy 20 bucks worth of yourbown hardware.

Fender Flares
These were a dream to install. They used existing factory holes in fenders making them a sweet installation.
