Spot Beams, also called Pencil Beams and Long Range Beams, produce a concentrated beam of light that is ideal for seeing far into the distance. Flood beams are so called because they “flood” a wide area with light. The cone of light is wide and tall, making flood beams invaluable when you’re negotiating trails with obstacles both to the sides and above, such as low hanging tree limbs. Flood beams are also useful for lighting up construction, farm and other work sites.
