    Nicely Done Rebuild
    I received the Lares 1177 steering gear box a few days after placing my order. It appeared to be very well done, and worked very well after I installed it.

    Chinese Garbage
    I bought this gear based on price and completely regretted my purchase from day one. Caused my steering to be drifty and also had a creaking noise that sounded like an old ship. After a few months, I bit the bullet and bought a new, US made PSC gear. My steering instantly felt like new and was rock solid. The only item I replaced was the steering gear itself. No other steering component was responsible for the problem. Please learn from my mistake and don't buy this absolute piece of garbage.

    The service and expertise is second to none. Got the correct part and on time. Lares, tech service was knowledgeable about the part and gave clear instructions on the install. The gear box fit perfect and performs like a new unit.
