KONI® has been in business for 150 years, involved in automobile dampers since 1932 and has produced adjustable telescopic dampers since 1945. In addition, though known best for cars, KONI also builds shocks for trucks, buses, RVs and railway rolling stock as well. What this adds up to is well-earned design and manufacturing experience. As the maker of the industry's very first adjustable shock absorber, electronic drag racing shocks and today's patented FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) street shocks, KONI has long demonstrated that product improvement means product innovation. As a niche maker of high-performance shocks, KONI is small enough to interact with its customers on a regular basis, even having a Tech Line staffed every working day with KONI technicians, many of whom are car enthusiasts just like you. What this means is that you receive the personal attention missing in most product businesses today.

Koni STRT failed within 6 months and Koni doesn't start behind warranty and failed product. Do not buy.

I installed this on a 2014 Ford Fiesta S with the 1.6l I4. I had previously installed these on a 2001 Mustang and I know they last about exactly 3 years. I had my mechanic install so I cannot explain how tough or easy install was but I'm sure it was simple. At the time of purchase I paired these with Godspeed traction S springs, my original springs with 140k were bent. At the time of purchase all I could afford were the Godspeed springs. I wish I could have bought HR super sport springs like I had in my Mustang. The springs are ok but these shock absorbers absolutely improve the handling of the car. I have had them installed 2 days and the difference in night and day. What I’m saying is even though I don’t have the best springs, the strut combo definitely improves dampening. My car is now quick!!! I didn’t realize just how much traction I was losing because of four blown shocks and struts and bent springs. Btw, these look sick installed. This was the first and definitely not the last time I buy from CARiD. I’m very grateful for delivery and access to all the parts I could ever need.

I purchased a full set of the Koni STR.T Street shocks/struts for my 97 Honda Accord. They were paired with M2 lowering springs which gave the car a 2 in drop in the front and 1.75 in drop in the rear. So far the ride quality has been very nice. It is a little rougher than stock suspension but not too stiff or hard. Just right for every day driving. Depending on your wheels, the bright orange of the Koni shocks/struts is very visible when one is looking. But with a little bit of driving I imagine the dust and dirt of the road will tone it down somewhat. Overall, this is a real good product for the money. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a lowering shock/strut!

Some Fitting Require On Civic Coupe
Some fitting required. Biggest problem I had was that the brake line retention threads on the lower flange are threaded the wrong size and the stock Honda 12mm brake line bolt does not fit. The lower strut bolt flange was also tight and had to pry slightly to fit onto the spindle. Otherwise ride is good.

Great Product
A little firmer than OEM, but a great ride and better handling than OEM.

Rides great. Did it as an OEM replacement and it rides so much better.

Koni has been my shock of choice since 1980 when I purchased my first Shelby Mustang. The brand has always been standard on road race and muscle cars. I recently purchased a 1993 BMW 325is. During the upgrade of the suspension I immediately thought of Koni. Again I am impressed with the quality and smooth ride, even with its heavy dampening.

The product when i received it seemed great. The struts and shocks were both Koni. The real problem i have was make sure you receive the right struts and shocks that are made for your car. I put in on the pull down my make, the class and all that. I received some for an Honda coupe verus for an Honda Civic to completely different thing when it comes to shock and struts. I trusted that i did everything on my part so when i received them i didn't think twice because they looked like the ones i ordered. I got them install my a profession mechanic. This is were you noticed the difference is the ride. The ride felt like i didn't have any shocks or struts it rattled every now and then and was bouncing down the road as i drove. Now I know things happens, but for me when i called back and explain to the Manager he said you need the box that it came in to return it. On my end i no longer had the boxes because its been 3 days and in good faith i that they would send the right ones so i let the mechanic throw the boxes out with the trash. The manager made a big deal about you need the boxes and sorry i can't really help you! So if You buy shock and struts from CARiD.com make sure you received the right shock and struts and remember to keep the boxes that they came in for about 2 week in case something were to go wrong and need to return them.

Bought these to replace the 115k mile original DeCarbon shocks on my '97 Camaro Z28. These shocks definitely delivered a noticeable improvement in handling and refined the way the car feels overall - ride quality is better than before! Although the install is straightforward, it still requires good mechanical knowledge. These shocks did not come with instructions, if you don't know what you're getting yourself into, best to seek professional advice.

Good fitment and nice finish. This shock is a slightly more sporty version of the stock Tokico shocks on the Miata. Does not come with bump stop or boot to protect shaft. These are available as separate items or reused stock pieces.
