Air Filter Cleaning Kit (99-5000) by K&N®. K&N Recharger Kit is designed to service your K&N oiled cotton air filter when it gets dirty. The kit comes with K&N Power Kleen air filter cleaner and K&N air filter oil. This Recharger Kit will restore air flow efficiency and will bring your air filter to like new condition. K&N Power Kleen works to dissolve the dirt build up and old filter oil, then it can be washed away with water. K&N air filter oil is included so that you can re-oil your air filter after cleaning. It is a great cleaner for K&N Hybrid air filters, K&N Blackhawk air filters, Dryflow air filters and other synthetic air filters.

The K&N Air Filter Recharge Kit includes the K&N filter cleaner and K&N oil. The K&N filter cleaner dissolves dirt and old filter oil so it can be washed away with water. Using any other type of cleaning solution could damage the cotton filter material and void the filter warranty. The K&N filter oil is the only oil specially formulated to work in combination with the cotton fabric in the K&N filter to provide superior filtration. When used as directed, it quickly penetrates the filter pleats, where it remains suspended in the cotton fabric.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of your K&N OE Replacement Air Filter and Intake System (the “Product”), with the exceptions stated below.

What Does This Warranty Not Cover?

This warranty does not cover damage due to (a) transportation, (b) storage, (c) improper use, (d) failure to follow the Product instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance, (e) modifications, (f) unauthorized repair, (g) normal wear and tear, (h) any type of racing or competition, (i) any off-road use, or (j) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., acts of God and natural disasters).

How Long Does the Coverage Last?

This warranty lasts for 10-Years or a Million Miles, whichever comes first, from the date the product was purchased. The warranty period will not be extended if we repair or replace the Product.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of your K&N Oil Filter, Automotive Accessory, Universal, Special or Disposable Filter, Exhaust Systems (the “Product”), with the exceptions stated below.

What Does This Warranty Not Cover?

This warranty does not cover damage due to (a) transportation, (b) storage, (c) improper use, (d) failure to follow the Product instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance, (e) modifications, (f) unauthorized repair, (g) normal wear and tear, (h) any type of racing or competition, (i) any off-road use or (j) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., acts of God and natural disasters).

K&N Recharge Kit

I have not had this new filter long enough to use the kit yet. I have used the kit before many times on K&N filters and it was great not buying throw away filters.

Best Stuff To Use

After installing my full K&N air intake system on my 07 Titan back in November of 09, I deployed to Afghanistan, exited the Marine Corps, and got married. Now 2012, I decided to clean up my truck in and out and let me tell you that red cone filter was a dark charcoal grey, and after using this stuff, Amazing! Looks brand new.

K&N Air Filter

I always use these type filters for all my autos. It makes so much sense to get a filter that will last the lifetime of your vehicle instead of buying a new paper filter. Not only do you get better performance from these filters, you get a little bump in mpg for fuel as well. I always get the re-charge kits to clean and re-oil the filters at specified time intervals. I've used K&N the most and have also used products by Green Filter and Volant Cold Air Intake for my Tundra. One last thing for money-minded folks, these filters pay for themselves in just a few years and will last the lifetime of your auto if cleaned and oiled as specified.

K&N Recharge Kit

Great product. Careful not to apply too much oil - a little goes a long way and disperses throughout the filter after a few hours. Aerosol oil is the way to go!
