King Off-Road Racing Shocks

King Shocks

Although a relatively young company, King Shocks has made a name for itself as one of the most famous manufacturers of custom-made adjustable and rebuildable shock absorbers for professional racing, utility vehicles, as well as OEM replacement purposes. Its name is synonymous with the quality it provides and can stand by as a result of their continuous testing with some of the top names in racing today.

At the very beginning, King Shocks was the blood and sweat of a single man – Lance King. Long before the company was dreamed into existence, Lance King created the original designs that he intended to use to fill the needs of racers back in the early 80s. Back then, most high performance cars and trucks ran several shock absorbers and would replace them at pit stops along with the tires. When producing their original 3 inch shock absorber, King Shocks was run as a small family business with Lance King and his two sons.

Even back then, the company had a single-minded dedication to design road King shocks with pure performance in mind and only use the highest quality materials available. That original ethos is one that the company stayed true to over the years and it is what has propelled them forward ever since they officially set up shop in 1996. As time passed, Lance King pioneered many of the high performance features that are commonplace today, including bypass tubes, seal technology, and many others. Despite the fact that the company now has diversified the range of King racing products that it offers, it still continues to innovate.

Right now the company's line of products is made up of King air shocks, coilover, bypass, and smoothie shocks, along with bump stops, racing jacks and tools. Under their OEM and UTV upgrade kit range, King Shocks provides a relatively painless bolt-on installation that will still boost performance considerably. Although these kits are generally intended for stock vehicles, they can be used on those with aftermarket modifications as well. So whether you are searching for premium King racing shocks, bump stops or front coilovers, King Shocks has everything and in between to match your needs.

Each and every one of their products is manufactured at their Garden Grove, California facility, and the materials as well as precision equipment used in the producing process are top-of-the-line and second-to-none. Even when it comes to custom design, manufacturing and engineering services, King Shocks can rise to the occasion and operates on the basis that 'if you can dream it, they can build it.' Bearing in mind how far the company has come in such a short time, it is easy to see just how well-deserved its reputation truly is. Without a doubt, King Shocks future is a bright one especially in the niche that they have carved out for themselves and made their very own.

These shocks have more of a harsh ride in the winter conditions than the cheap ranchos I replaced. I would definitely not recommend if you live in a cold climate. Back jarring ride on the highways.
