Kia's mid-size crossover, the Sorento, has been manufactured and marketed by the Korean automaker since 2002. The Sorento was powered by a 3.5L 24 valve DOHC V6 motor with 192 hp after its debut. There was a number of upgrades made by Kia during the production of the first vehicle's generation. In 2007, the upgraded Sorento got a more powerful 3.8L Lambda motor rated at 262 hp and seriously increased safety level – the model received the highest rating for crash safety from the NHTSA. There were two more generations of Kia Sorento presented – in 2011 and in 2015. Each time the vehicle became more powerful, but the safety was retained on the same high level. In exterior and interior, the Sorento simply impresses you, especially if it is maintained properly.
The Kia Sorento has both types of transmissions: automatic and manual. Whatever type your Sorento has, its transmission may need some maintenance after miles of operation. If the transmission of your pride and joy is about to fail, browse through the virtual pages of our digital store. You will find the ultimate collection of Kia Sorento replacement transmission parts for your vehicle.
