The Kia Sephia was manufactured by the South Korean company between 1992 and 2003 in two generations. This front-engine compact car entered the U.S. market in 1993. The first-generation Sepia was manufactured in 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback variants equipped with a 1.5/1.6/1.8-liter I4 power plant producing 79, 105, and 122 hp. 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual gearboxes were offered for all models. In the U.S. the Sephia was produced in three trims: S, GX, and GSX. The second generation of this model was redesigned and manufactured from 1997 to 2003.
