Cody from CARiD talked me into this for my 2015 Xterra Pro 4X. I already had the 63 K&N. My first thoughts on the K&N were lackluster. I had an AEM Brute Force on my 2006 Xterra. It was really loud when I hit 4K rpm but seemed quicker. (Noise? Maybe). The box got stress cracks from vibration so I had to remove it and weld it twice. I went with a K&N this time in spite of not being a fan of oiled filters because it boasted 14 hp. It was quieter than the AEM but didn’t seem as responsive. (Imagination...expectation...butt dyno?). I read where the MAF is a waste of $$$ but after driving with the K&N for a week and then adding the JET MAF, my vehicle was much more responsive especially at lower rpm. I kept the stock MAF just in case but I have had no issues with the dreaded CEL. I just finished the MagnaFlow cat-back and couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Cody and CARiD.
