The Jeeps J-Series were full-sized pickup trucks manufactured from 1963 until 1988. These trucks wore several model designations throughout their production history. Early models of this lineup produced until 1973 were called Gladiators, later models were renamed to J-series Pickups (the J-10 and the J-20 series). The Jeep J-Series Pickup model numbers were used to identify the length of the wheelbase and gross vehicle weight that had changed over the years. The J-10s and Gladiators shared their body with the Jeep Wagoneer. The J-10s were 1/2 ton pickup trucks, along with the available 3/4 ton J-20s that only came with long beds. The Jeep J-10 trucks were presented in different trim packages, among them was the Honcho. This special decal package consisted of bold striping and decals, and had some factory amenities such as the Levi's interior or a roll cage. The list of Honcho conveniences changed from year to year. In addition, buyers could choose the Pioneer, Golden Eagle, Laredo, Custom, and 10-4 packages, with different options.
