The Jeep Grand Wagoneer exhaust pipe is what expels noxious gases like carbon monoxide from the engine and keeps them out of the engine compartment and, most importantly, the cabin where you and your passengers could become very sick, or even be killed if you were to breathe them in concentration. The exhaust pipe is one of the most visible components on your car too, so fortunately, it's easy to spot when there's a problem with it and you need to install a new one.

Your car or truck's exhaust pipe connects to other parts of the exhaust system, such as the muffler and catalytic converter, and expels the fumes created by the engine. It is generally positioned on the side of the car that is away from the curb when you are driving, so on most cars made for the US market it is on the left, though some cars have a central exhaust pipe, and some performance cars or heavily modified cars even have multiple exhaust pipes. Imported Japanese cars generally have the pipe on the right.

Because of its exposed position, the exhaust pipe is one area that can get damaged severely in even a minor accident. It can also become damaged as a result of corrosion and general wear and tear. If the exhaust pipe is knocked out of position or bent out of shape, it can cause rattling and vibrations which can be irritating at best, and at worst, can actually degrade performance. More serious damage, for example holes or cracks in the pipe, can lead to exhaust fumes leaking out where they shouldn't, and this can obviously be very dangerous.
