The Jeep Commando was manufactured by two different companies – Kaiser Motors (1967-1969), then American Motors (1970-1973). There were two main variations of this model, С101 and С104. Originally, this vehicle was named the Jeepster Commando after the earlier Jeepster model. It had a typical Jeep front grille and resembled a lot the CJ models. However, the Commando had a lot of features that differed it from its predecessors. It was the first compact four-wheel-drive vehicle with an automatic transmission that was designed to appeal to buyers seeking a less utilitarian vehicle than the CJ. The Commando came in several different body options, including the station wagon, power-top convertible, pickup, and roadster. The Jeepster name was in existence until 1971, when it was replaced with the Jeep Commando title. In 1972, the Commando got serious front-end redesign in order to accommodate AMC engines under its hood.

If you drive your vehicle long enough, eventually it will need transmission repair. Whether this means the transmission needs to be serviced, replaced or rebuilt may depend on different reasons like: how long the vehicle has been driven with transmission troubles and how serious the damage is. Our company provides a number of Jeep Commando transmission parts. We stock only the highest quality parts from the most respectable aftermarket manufacturers that guarantee reliability and durability.
