Based on the GMT355 platform that was originally developed for the Hummer H3, the I-Series was available in both 2-door and 4-door versions. Sharing most mechanicals with the parental models, the I-Series although featured a slightly cut equipment list and a redesigned front fascia. The I-Series was on sale until 2008, when the model was ceased amid the overall withdrawal of Isuzu vehicles from the North American market.
