The Isuzu Hombre was a badge-engineered version of the second-generation Chevrolet S-10 sold in North America from 1996 until 2000. Distinguished from the parental model primarily by the redesigned front fascia, the Hombre also offered a slightly lower equipment level. The vehicle was marketed in two trim levels, the S and the top-level XS, and was briefly available in a four-door Spacecab version. Though the Hombre gave a good account of itself, it was unable to compete with pickups from more reputable domestic American brands and had poor sales.
