Product Details

Hydro-Shield Pre-Filter (1033RED) by Injen®. Injen Technologys Hydroshield are designed to enhance the efficiency of any air filter, including Injens SuperNano-Web and our 8-Layer oiled cotton gauze air filters. Injens Hydroshield is constructed from a proprietary base media and then treated with a hydrophobic water-repellent. Our Hydroshield is UV resistant, can stop contaminants down to .005, is puncture resistant, and has elasticity characteristics which helps the Hydroshield to return to the original shape/position after servicing. Injens Hydroshields are engineered to divert damaging contaminants, which can clog your air filter and compromise peak air-flow and horsepower output. Injens Hydroshield also extends the time between servicing intervals, reducing costs and improving the overall user experience.

Injen Technology’s Hydro-Shield Pre-filters are race proven material manufactured from highly durable polyester. Uniform micron openings allow the filtering of debris .005” or larger. The Hydro-Shield Pre-filters are factory treated using an embedded hydrophobic process, which offers consistent airflow, water repellency and maintains horsepower gains. SES Intercooler and exhaust systems that have been installed will not be eligible for return under any circumstances. Injen Technology offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship. Injen Technology will replace, at no charge, any Injen product considered by Injen Technology to be defective. Any and all warranty coverage is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only, at Injen Technology’s discretion. Proof of purchase is required. The warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages, damages caused from improper installation, nor does it cover the cost of installation or removal of the defective part or its replacement. Most exhaust and Intercooler system installations may require a lift and or specialized tools. Due to the installation complexity of automotive exhaust and Intercooler systems, Injen Technology recommends that a qualified technician perform the installation. Most local Tuner or exhaust and muffler shops offer professional installation.

Injen Hydroshield

I have a 4" secret weapon dragon air filter and this went completely over all the plastic for a secure fit. Had to be patient with the shield when putting it on, but eventuality got it, and I think it's been well worth it. I've had the shield for a few weeks now and can tell it makes a huge difference. From the foggy fall mornings filled with moisture in the air to the rainy days with wet roadways I feel a lot better knowing that my engine won't hydro lock now.

I'm so glad I got this. Makes me worry less about my filter getting soaked. This is definitely recommended for the extra protection.

Hydro-Shield Pre-Filter

I recently ordered the Injen intake and hydro-shield pre-filter. On my 2007 Mazda 3, the intake is in the driver's side fender by the vents around the wheel. It rains a lot where I'm from, Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada, and I didn't want my intake sucking up water. I had this for about six months now and never had a problem. I definitely recommend using this because I have friends who blew motors by water being sucked up through the intake. It's worth spending the extra money to get a hydro-shield for protection.

I'd Recommend This!

I never really got to try this product out. We have been having a dry spell here. But this morning on the way to work, it was pouring hard! It held up nicely! Well worth the money!
