Product Details

Hydro-Shield Pre-Filter (1034BLK) by Injen®. Injen Technologys Hydroshield are designed to enhance the efficiency of any air filter, including Injens SuperNano-Web and our 8-Layer oiled cotton gauze air filters. Injens Hydroshield is constructed from a proprietary base media and then treated with a hydrophobic water-repellent. Our Hydroshield is UV resistant, can stop contaminants down to .005, is puncture resistant, and has elasticity characteristics which helps the Hydroshield to return to the original shape/position after servicing. Injens Hydroshields are engineered to divert damaging contaminants, which can clog your air filter and compromise peak air-flow and horsepower output. Injens Hydroshield also extends the time between servicing intervals, reducing costs and improving the overall user experience.

Injen Technology’s Hydro-Shield Pre-filters are race proven material manufactured from highly durable polyester. Uniform micron openings allow the filtering of debris .005” or larger. The Hydro-Shield Pre-filters are factory treated using an embedded hydrophobic process, which offers consistent airflow, water repellency and maintains horsepower gains. Snug and secure, the Hydro-Shield Pre-filters comes in various sizes and colors. Everyone should practice safe driving!

SES Intercooler and exhaust systems that have been installed will not be eligible for return under any circumstances. Injen Technology offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship. Injen Technology will replace, at no charge, any Injen product considered by Injen Technology to be defective. Any and all warranty coverage is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only, at Injen Technology’s discretion. Proof of purchase is required. The warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages, damages caused from improper installation, nor does it cover the cost of installation or removal of the defective part or its replacement. Most exhaust and Intercooler system installations may require a lift and or specialized tools. Due to the installation complexity of automotive exhaust and Intercooler systems, Injen Technology recommends that a qualified technician perform the installation. Most local Tuner or exhaust and muffler shops offer professional installation.

Injen Technology offers a Limited One-Year Warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship on all Injen electronics under the PowerTech line. Injen Technology will replace, at no charge, any Powertech electronic component considered by Injen Technology to be defective. Any and all warranty coverage is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only, at Injen Technology’s discretion. Proof of purchase is required. I Would Recommend It.

Hydro-shield is well made. I have not had any heavy rain since I purchased it so I cannot tell how well it works. By looking at it I'm sure it will help.

A must get just in case for that extra protection to the filter. Water does not go through at all it's perfect.

Pre-filter

The item was very easy to install. Like putting a sock on. It will help prevent dust and splashes of water but not too much water. If you soak it, water will get through and can get sucked into the motor from the air filter and lock your motor. Yikes. But this product does give you a little added insurance of such a catastrophe happening.

Good for the Price

I recently installed this product alongside with an Injen SP1676BLK cold air intake. Fit over the filter like a glove. Not sure to what extent it repels water, but I figured better safe than sorry, especially for the price!
