The I30 by Infiniti was unveiled in 1994, being available in two body styles, a wagon and sedan. The wagon version, however, appeared a little later, in 1997. On the Japanese market the sibling of this vehicle was marketed as the Nissan Maxima QX, and was identical to the I30 in the mechanical aspect, though featuring less luxurious trim. The Infiniti I30 came with a V6 naturally aspirated gasoline motor of 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 L displacement under the hood. The transmission choice offered a classic 5-speed manual and a four-speed automatic unit. The suspension was softened to ensure maximally smooth ride.
