The Nissan Skyline 250 GT Sedan, the G25's sibling for the Japanese market equipped with a similar engine, had been on sale for some time already prior to the G25's release. The Infiniti G25 was priced somewhat lower than the G37, because the model was meant to rival entry-level luxury autos like the BMW 328i, Audi A4, and Lexus IS250.
