Hyundai first showed up on the American shores back in 1986 with the introduction of its subcompact Excel. This car became Hyundai’s hot seller and during the first seven months more than 100,000 models were sold statewide. Although the road to success in the American market proved to be a challenge, Hyundai accepted the challenge and chose to work hard on improving new product designs and overall quality, reliability, and performance. Currently Hyundai offers a wide range of vehicles from the economical Accent and the popular Elantra to the midsize Sonata and sporty Genesis. In addition to a couple of stylish SUVs, Hyundai has a vehicle for just about anyone.

There are various automotive systems that make your Hyundai tick and the fuel delivery system is by far one of the most important ones. The main purpose of your fuel system is to store and deliver fuel to the engine. Although fuel systems may differ from engine to engine, all systems are similar in that they deliver fuel to the combustion chamber and control the volume of fuel delivered in correspondence to the amount of air. There are many different parts that form your Hyundai’s fuel system, both mechanical and electrical. A little malfunction of any component may have a huge impact on the performance of your engine. Your fuel system deserves proper attention and care and our selection of Hyundai fuel delivery parts is the solution you can count on.

Does My Vehicle Have a Mechanical or Electric Fuel Pump?
From the earliest days of the automobile, fuel pumps have existed to draw fuel out of the fuel tank and move it into your engine's combustion area. (A note for the purists: some very early cars, like the Ford Model T, used "gravity feed", which required the fuel tank to be mounted higher than the engine. These cars could only climb steep hills by ascending them in reverse!)

How To Replace An In-Tank Fuel Sending Unit
A Fuel tank sending unit is a term for the mechanical assembly inside your fuel tank which measures the level of liquid in the tank, then reports its findings to the fuel gauge on your instrument cluster. All sending units contain a "float" piece which does just what it describes - floats atop the surface of the fuel. Many automakers design the float piece as an attachment on a hinged arm that pivots as the level in the tank rises or drops. Others design the float piece as a cylinder that rides up and down around a metal shaft.

      How To Replace Fuel Injectors
Fuel injectors spray fuel directly into your engine’s cylinders during the intake stroke when a piston moves down to allow air and fuel to fill the cylinder chamber. When injectors are malfunctioning, leaking, or have failed completely, they will cause rough engine performance, poor idle, reduced power and economy, and exhaust that’s rich enough in unburned fuel to damage expensive exhaust parts such as oxygen sensors and catalytic converters.
