The Honda S2000 is a roadster first presented to public in 1995 at the Tokyo Motor Show. The production of the vehicle was started in 1999. The initially introduced concept automobile featured a two-door roadster hardtop body pattern, built on a rear-wheel drive layout. The vehicle was equipped with a 2.0 L four-cylinder inline engine capable of up to 247 horsepower geared through a six-speed manual transmission. The series of major facelifts started in 2004 and brought an enhanced powertrain, 17 inch wheels and upgraded interior amenities. The 2006 was a year when electronic stability control was added to the Honda S2000 equipment. For the final 2009 model year of its existence, the S2000 was available in base and CR trims and powered by a 2.2 L engine capable of 250 horsepower.
