The name was chosen both in honor of Honda’s 50th anniversary and the mark of the new millennium beginning. Moreover, the S2000 became a logical continuation of the Honda’s S500, S600, S800 famed sports cars from the 1960s, and its name refers to its 2.0-liter engine capacity. The Honda S2000 was a two-seat roadster with rear-wheel-drive. It was equipped with a high-performance, powerful inline four-cylinder engine along with an ideally balanced chassis. With uncluttered cockpit design and a racetrack-tuned suspension, the S2000 was a real sports car. Quick and responsive steering, perfect handling and a six-speed gearbox promised much fun for the driving fans.
