The Honda HR-V is a mini crossover that was first released in 1998 and built till 2007. Now, since 2015, the vehicle is going through its second generation, and is offered as a subcompact five-door SUV. Both generations have front-wheel drive and Real Time four-wheel drive models, all with a front-mounted power unit. The latter was available in two versions: a 1.6L I4 SOHC engine (FWD vehicles) and a 1.6L I4 SOHC VTEC power unit (4WD models). As for the transmission choice, there were two of them too, a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic (Honda Multimatic S). The second-generation HR-V was shown to the public at the New York Auto Show in 2014. All the vehicles of this generation are given a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC I4 power unit combined with a CVT automatic transmission.
