The Honda Del Sol had 2 seats, front-wheel-drive configuration, front engine layout, and a great unconventional design with Targa top. In fact, the Spanish name Del Sol was chosen because it means “of the sun” and refers to the car's opening roof. This model was not a full convertible, featuring a removable hardtop that could be stowed in the trunk and a retractable rear window that provided a “convertible feel”. The Del Sol offered solid performance and top-notch handling.
