Product Details

Brake Control Wiring Harness by Hayes®. Provide a quick-disconnect for your electric trailer brake controller with this wiring harness. It is designed for applications that do not come equipped with a brake control wiring harness port from the factory. One end of the product plugs into the controller, while the other end splices into your vehicle's wiring.

This universal wiring harness by Hayes provides a quick disconnect for your electric trailer brake controller. There's no need to cut the plug off the brake controller to wire it directly to your vehicle. With this wiring harness, it's very simple to plug and unplug the controller for use in different vehicles or for storage when not in use. The wire end splices into your vehicle's wiring. The wiring adapter is suitable for use on a vehicle that does not have a factory tow package or is not equipped with a plug-in port. If you're vehicle is not equipped with a factory tow package, you will need to purchase an additional equipment to ensure that the signals from your brake controller are sent directly to your trailer brakes.

Hayes® - Air Actuated Brake Control
I have had one of these controllers and I will be buying another in the future. When set up properly they modulate your brakes proportionally to your application pressure. Plumb it into the application line into the gauge for best results. You can also actuate it using your trailer brake hand lever and run the trailer independently from the tractor just like with normal trailer air brakes. There is also a lever on the unit as well. The actuating lever is also the adjustment, twisting it you can change intensity of trailer braking.

Hayes® 81741B - Energize III Brake Control
This is my second one the first one I used for almost 7 years. Worked great till I dropped it. So when I was at the store. Saw it and got it! With not a second thought about any other one. Currently use this with a 33' Travel Trailer with Tandem axles (4) brakes.

Hayes® 81790 - Genesis Brake Control
I purchased this controller because I upgraded to a larger three axle trailer and the controller I had was not strong enough for what I needed. I ordered the controller and received it in timely fashion. When I installed it using all the same wiring I already had I was very pleased with the modern system. I no longer spend time adjusting and setting the controller. It is fully self controlled and it knows when it needs more power. Also it has a great feature that it knows when the trailer is hooked up and can also diagnose connection problems. All in all I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to my friends.

Hayes® 81792BB - G2 Brake Boss Brake Control
The Hayes G2 was very simple to install in my 2012 Ram 1500. The two sided tape did not hold for me, probably the cold temps up here in upstate NY, but I was able to use the included screws to secure the cradle. The bundled wiring adapter made the installation plug and play, so much easier then the old pigtails and electric tape. The factory default of 50% power and 10% gain should be about what I need to handle my nearly 3000 lb (fully loaded) pop-up but I will be able to fine tune that once I am able to have a proper test drive. I am very pleased with this controller so far. Can't wait for our first trip of the season.
