In the early 1980s, finding replacement body panels and trim for classic cars was increasingly hard. The majority of parts available were sourced only from automotive salvage yards. Some of the enthusiasts have come up with a logical conclusion that if their hobby was going to go on, then a reliable source for high-quality replacements was going to be necessary. As a business venture, Goodmark was started in 1991. They began offering sheet metal panels and trim for classic pickup trucks and cars, thus satisfying most of the aforementioned needs.
At the present time, the company remains true to its goal of supplying high-quality components for this very market. Classic cars which once were quite difficult to restore can now be returned to former glory and maintained in like-new condition with parts offered by Goodmark. The company prides itself on being able to supply a considerable range of different restoration components all of which measure up to or surpass the originals. They are manufactured utilizing CAD-CAM equipment and tooling in order to provide the replacements that are identical to O.E.M. parts in every detail.
The company’s products are approved by many original equipment manufacturers, while being licensed and certified as genuine replacement articles. Goodmark fenders are designed to be used in place of original parts which can get damaged or rusted. They are offered for both driver and passenger sides of the vehicle and are dimensionally correct so as to ease the actual installation, with the units matching up perfectly with the auto’s existing metal panels. Replacement fenders are stamped out of automotive-grade steel. They are first coated in electro-deposit primer and then finished in quality paint, while providing superior rust resistance.
