The GMC Tracker was a subcompact sport utility vehicle marketed from 1989 through 2004. At its debut, the Tracker could be had in base convertible, base 2-door hardtop, and LSi hardtop trim levels. All the Tracker models were initially offered in all-wheel drive, however in 1992 the automaker introduced a convertible model that came with a standard two-wheel-drive layout. As for the powertrain, the first-generation models were equipped with a 1.6L I4. Available transmissions included a three/four-speed automatic and a five-speed manual. The second-generation GMC Tracker became more lightweight and dynamic. Two new engines were added to the lineup: a 2.0L I4 and a 2.5L V6 generating 130 hp and 155 hp respectively.
